YOGA

At Soulage, our core belief is in remaining curious. Our teachers have studied with a variety of mentors and pull from a plethora of inspirations, including but not limited to Katonah Yoga®, Chinese Medicine, Iyengar, Tantra, Somatics, Vinyasa and Hatha, often-times blending many techniques into one class. Yoga with the Collective at Soulage varies greatly from teacher to teacher and from class to class. This means each time you attend, your experience will be unique. Our yoga classes are taught to all-levels.

BEGINNER YOGA

Our signature blended class, slowed down with lots of instruction and modifications.

BUTI

Buti Movement combines vinyasa asana, HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) primal movement, and dance. Music guides our classes like an internal GPS, avoiding counted reps and allowing you to surrender completely to the beat. This dynamic movement forces you out of your head and INTO YOUR BODY.

RESTORATIVE YOGA + BREATHWORK

Restoration is reformation. This class will ask you to slow down and drop in by blending pranayama (breathing techniques) with restorative yoga. We will reorganize the containers in which we live and enliven it with breath. Expect both energizing and down-regulating breathwork with long holds supported by lots of props. Give yourself a drop of yin to balance all the doing of your day. This class is for anyone living inside a body.

HEALING MOVEMENT & MEDITATION

In this therapeutic practice, we explore self-massage techniques, somatic movement, and sound. The aim is to restore your body’s natural rhythms, relieve chronic pain and tension, and build better brain/body connections.

We end every practice with a sound bowl session and guided meditation.  This practice is beginner-friendly but is beneficial to all walks of life.

yin + restore

This class combines the gentle, sustained stretches of yin yoga with the soothing, fully supported postures of restorative yoga. Yin yoga targets the connective tissues, promoting flexibility and joint health through long-held poses, while restorative yoga uses props to create a healing environment of total relaxation. Together, these practices harmonize the body and mind, reducing stress and enhancing overall well-being. Ideal for all levels, this class invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your inner peace.

yinyasa

This class will begin with getting your breath and body moving by building on an active continuous flow of postures, while placing our limbs with intention (a.k.a. vinyasa). We will align and flow through a safe and intentional exploration of movement and finish the class with some longer holds in Yin poses to create a deep release in the joints and tissues between muscles. Linking intentional breath & movement, we will explore the edges of our movement comfort zones. We will build on transitions, balancing postures, and deep stretches.

slow flow

We live in an increasingly fast-paced world, and the antidote to that is moving more slowly and intentionally. In this class, we'll move through asana postures at a slower pace, with longer holds, and allow our breath to be a grounding anchor as we downshift. This class combines slow asana flows, breathwork practices to activate our parasympathetic nervous system, and will end with an extended savasana. Designed for all folks who are looking to step away from the hustle and bustle and offer themselves time and space to slow down and move inward.

sunday slowdown

Embrace an evening of nourishment. Through gentle yoga poses, guided meditation and sound healing, we'll prepare for the week ahead in a mindful, loving way. No experience is needed, come as you are ready for a little movement and a lot of restoration. Your nervous system will thank you!

Offered once/month on Sundays, starting August 25 from 6-7 pm.
